——— second read (2024) ——— This book is still one of my all time favorites and i loved it just as much the second time, if not more! ——— first read (2022) ——— wow. simply wow. I had such a great time listening to this. I can’t think of a single flaw in this book. It has equally as many rom com aspects, that give you smiles and giggles and laughs, as it has important moments about identity, grieve, acceptance and so much more. And those two balance each other out perfectly. From the leads to every single side character - everyone was real and no one acted annoyingly immature or unrealistic. And don’t get me started on the concept - two audiobook narrators? secret identity? pen pal vibes? To sum this up - I had a wonderful listening to the audiobook, which btw is narrated by the author herself and absolutely amazing. I strongly believe this book needs to be listened to, not read. It’s an audiobook kinda story. Go read this if you want a hilarious entertaining romance with all the fluffy and sad and happy feelings. The author is the narrator for Emily Henry’s books and Thank You For Listening was very much Emily Henry vibes, with the way she played with the rom com aspects and deeper feelings. I LOVED IT. 5
