3.75⭐️ (The cover is covering so hard omggggg I’m in LOVE.) Very much loved the setting, the yearning and the slowly warming up to the other person. Although the “warming up”-part is more related to Juniper warming up to Callum because this dude was head over heels since the first time he saw her. Poor man, but very understandable. Juniper was absolutely the main character and star of this book! She is such a baddy and I love that for her. The banter between her and Callum was fun to read. And also shoutout to Shakespear, the evil cat. What a gem. I do think there could have been more done with Callum dad’s situation as well as with the fight Callum and Alistair (they’re brothers) had. Both of those things felt short at one point even though they kinda are a bigger and constantly mentioned part in the book. I also sometimes had to remind myself that Callum is supposed to be almost forty and sometimes yes, I could see that and other times, especially with Alistair, I could not. I haven’t read book one “Whiskey Business” yet, but will definitely do so. I’m also looking forward to the third book in the series. Thank you to HarperCollins UK for providing this book for review via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

THIS IS MAYBE MY FAVORITE READ THIS YEAR aprils grandfather died & her career as a movie star in london is a bit rocky right now... she decides to stay a bit in her grandparents house in ireland in a SMALLTOWN<3 her grandfather owned a lil whiskey business and her (old) best friends brother mal still runs it. well obviously mal is kinda surprised when the oh so famous april "sinclair" decides to finally pay a visit, when she wasn't even there for her grandfather's funeral... this book does not only have my favorite tropes •grumpy x sunshine •smalltown but also adds more to the plot with the celebrity aspect!! i totally fell in love with the town & the people but also with the author elliot fletcher where have you been my whole life? her writing style is incredible! it felt as if this story isn't fictional, i could connect to every character cause they were just so well written. and tbh sadly it is rare for me to like the fmc but april was so lovely, vulnerable and still so strong and bossy I LOVED IT!!! and omggg the way their romance unraveled slowly and you could really FEEL the tension ahhh i just wanna read it for the first time again:( it was PERFECT and with the right amount of spice!!! i only read romance so honestly sometimes it kinda feels like i'm reading the same story with different names but this one is truly unique and gave me so much comfort. i wanna live on the isle of skye and marry mal & april yes both of them or be adopted by them idc i just wanna be a part of them and this town.
