I liked where it was going before and enjoyed it even more in the second half. It added nice details to the characters relationships and a bunch of information for the plot and explanations to the concept of the world and story. Some plot points were left pretty much undiscovered though. Another 100 pages to explores those would've been great. But as a conclusion it's done its job.
