Huh, bin bisschen am struggeln mit der Bewertung von diesem Buch. Ich fand es vom Klappentext echt interessant, das Buch war gut lesbar, und es gab immer mal wieder Stellen die mich zum weiterlesen animiert haben. Leider gab es aber auch Stellen die mich enttäuscht haben. Die Liebesgeschichte ist mir viel zu schnell entstanden, der Männliche Charakter war mir an manchen Momenten teilweise too much und so klar von einer Frau geschrieben. Dafür dass das Buch nicht so viele Seiten hat, gabs echt Momente wo ich mir gedacht hab, man hätte es abkürzen können, und in meinen Augen wurden manche Konflikte teilweise so schnell aus der Welt geschaffen und andere so unnötig in die Länge gezogen. Irgendwie ist das ganze Buch, für mich, eine Art abgemilderter Hass-Liebe und ich muss mal schauen von wem, die anderen Bücher der Autorin, handeln um zu entscheiden, ob ich noch was von ihr lesen möchte oder nicht.

So, I’m still not entirely sure about this one yet. I can definitely say, I enjoyed the book. It was a good vacation read and I liked the general idea of the plot. Sometimes it felt like readers were told about the protagonists‘ feelings and relationship instead of really shown though, which is something I’ve seen other people point out too. I enjoyed their banter, but it wasn’t quite there for me for this reason. I just stared reading another book from the author - Spring Tide - where this absolutely isn’t a problem. I’m also not so much used to fast burn romances and in the beginning it just confused me. This isn’t to say that it is written badly, it’s just simply not what I preferably read. All in all still a lovely read, 3.5 stars.
