First of all: Thank you for providing me an ARC copy of this wonderful book, Ben. I enjoyed every second of it. The mix of a Little-Mermaid-retelling, Greek Mythology and a greatly written story was amazing, I was hardly able to put the book down. So many lovely pictures popped up in my head while reading. There were lots of beautiful descriptions of the sea environment, but I also loved the emotions woven into them. The characters were great! Besides the main couple - which I absolutely adored -, Aleanna was a character I really liked, too. She reminded me of a powerful Ariel. I loved what she did with her magic and how she faced her enemies in the end. The spice scenes were just chef's kiss. Consent, tentacles, so many emotions. I laughed so much about the crab
