3,5 Stars The story was really great at the beginning. Really cool and strong FMC with lots of bite and sass. Also liked the MMC and the relationship development. The 3rd act conflict was also convincing. But then there was not nearly enough groveling on his part to resolve the conflict in a good way. And I hated, that he just snapped his fingers at the end and handed her her goal, which she had been working towards so hard. That was not at all convincing, especially given the strong and independent character of the FMC, that we got to see in the first 80% of the book. I would have loved for her to find a solution and make it on her own, maybe with his support.

Hello Bücherfreunde, in Teil zwei der Lakes Hockey Reihe geht es um Freya und Rhys. Und was soll ich sagen, das Buch war unglaublich spicy ;) Die Chemie zwischen den beiden war wirklich der Hammer. Trotzdessen hat die Autorin es geschafft ein ernstes Thema wie die Abhängigkeit von Drogen und wie die Personen, die dem Süchtigen nahestehen davon betroffen sind, zu thematisieren, was ihr aus meiner Sicht gut gelungen ist. Ich bin schon gespannt auf die nächsten Teile. Viel Spaß beim Lesen XOXO Jojo
