After reading and enjoying Brian D. Kennedy's debut "A Little Bit Country" earlier this year, I was eager to dive into his new book. Meet Wade: popular, good looking, acting star of the school. His life could be perfect, but there's Reese, his ex. Who broke up with him, because Wade is too self-absorbed. Meet Elijah: invisible, awkward and a little nerdy. He can't seem to make friends, so one day he decides to join the theater crew, where he meets Wade, and Elijah has the perfect idea: Turn Elijah into Brady: a more confident version of himself. With Wade's help of course. Then surely Reese will see that Wade is not at all selfish, right? I totally adored the theater setting and it's obvious that the author must have some kind of drama-related background. Loved it! Wade and Elijah were adorable. I was rooting for Elijah, because I know how hard it can be to be an outcast. Wade was dramatic and loud, which I also related to.
