The idea was promising, but this book was just not it. While I liked the different voices of the many characters we get to know, I didn't like how … contemporary (?) it was written. Like calling Hercules "H" or using "cuz" for cousin. Furthermore, I think the author wanted to do too much. By collecting and connecting all these different myths, the pace felt much too fast, and no event was remotely significant.
