For such a long book, very little happened for most of the time. Kat sometimes really got on my nerve. Her subservience towards her uncle while refusing Bastian's help while at the same time complaining that women belong do men (do sth, girl). Her naiveté when it comes to Cavendish. For someone who's supposed to be able to read people, she's a bit dumb sometimes. Overall, the story was mildly entertaining and with the cliffhanger, I'll definitely continue the series.
This started out soooooo slow but once you reached like 85% it's just event after event after another event. My heart just freaking can't man. Book was a bit of both easy and difficult to follow for me. There were a lot of name throwings who wasn't really that important to be mentioned in the first place imo. Plot was interesting. BASTIAN IS HOT OKAY. I AM SO MAS THAT DAMN HUSBAND FREAKING INTERRUPTED THE SESSION. Bringing me to another point, I'm really not the biggest fan of a stuck-in-a-marriage-so-i-guess-we're-cheating trope. So this was a big dent in my ratings for this book. Unsure if I will be continuing this series though. I'll keep it in mind in case I want to return to it one day.
It was ok...but very predictable except one part but I won't spoil. There was something missing for me, maybe it was the writing or something else I can't say. Just didn't catch me.
