Everything that Queen Sara writes is a banger 🙂‍↕️

And you might ask yourself: If it was such a “banger”, why only giving it 3.5 ⭐️? Well, not every banger has to be 5 ⭐️ and just because I gave it 3.5 ⭐️ does not mean I didn’t enjoy it, there are just better bangers out there hahaha! I generally like books that Sara Cate releases, so for me anything she brings out is a banger regardless of my rating - I just like some books more than others 🙂‍↕️ Enough of that though: “Fire and Ash” is a professor x student novella and definitely served the purpose I wanted it to serve: short, spicy and a good storyline on top! I wasn’t a big fan of Pax at first, but his background story helped me understand his behavior better even though I still didn’t like how he treated Thomas for most of the time. In the end, I do have to say though, that their love story might be a bit more messy than others, but they are a really good match nevertheless! The development made absolute sense even though it pissed me off from time to time, but I understand that it was important for their relationship, so I can’t complain too much…🥴 If you know me, you know that I’m a sucker for a good professor X student trope and Sara Cate obviously absolutely nailed it! If you are looking for a spicy novella, look no further, because I got on for you 😉

Uni Professor x Student/Mechanic

Really enjoyed this short (140 pages) story. I didn't expect much from it since it is so short and kinda focused on the spice, but it was pretty good and had some depth to it. It's actually a volume two, but you don't have to read the first to understand (it's about another couple). So this starts with Thomas (34), a journalist turned English professor, having problems with his car. So he calls a service and they send the mechanic Pax (20) to tow his car to the shop. They talk on the drive and get along well, so once they arrive... Pax fucks him in the office 👀 The next day, Thomas sees him again, at university, in his new class... What should have been a one-night-stand continues and we get more info about the characters. Won't say much about that (it's already so short, I don't want to spoil), just one topic is Pax' scars. Thomas also has a best friend, and she is also a professor with a relationship to a student (couple from volume 1). I really liked their dynamic, also that the younger guy takes the initiative. The pacing was also good, as expected from a novella, but since I really liked it, I was a bit sad that it wasn't a full-length novel.
