Nice and easy read with a bit of suspense language wise: "SUV" was used about 2-3 times per page pronouns at the start of sentences were left out frequently, leading to partially cavemen-like speech plot wise: I did like the majority of the plot and how the story developed. It started out really strong but felt a bit forced in the end. I LOVED the portrayal of diabetes, even though not all events are 100% medically accurate (I don’t expect non-diabetics to be able to show a chronic illness fully accurate). I did read it as a standalone so parts of the world building were missing but was still able to understand most things. total 2.5/5 ⭐️ (means a solid read but nothing too moving/great)
