This side journey has plenty of the fun vibes I love, quirky systems, goofy moments, and enough world-building to keep things interesting. Jaxon himself is entertaining and the banter can be funny, but the plot feels a bit aimless and the pacing drags when too much focus is on mechanics over story. A decent detour that’s occasionally fun, even if it doesn’t fully stick the landing.
