Pretty good anthology, there are a lot of entries from authors I already loved and I also found some to check out. The problem's that many of the stories are only the beginning of a full-length novel and you don't really know what you're signing up for when you start one. Anyway, on to the stories themselves. Prom King - 3 stars This one is probably more fun when you've read Bully King, which I didn't, so a few things are a bit confusing for me. For example, a group of people who is supposedly dangerous or whatever but you don't know anything about them. It was fine overall, but I literally forgot their names already. Say My Name - 3.5 stars Intriguing, but the spice is not my thing. Too much in a bdsm kind of way. Briar & Bramble - 3.5 stars Estranged stepbrothers, the reason they hate each other is pretty much miscommunication. Their chemistry feels a bit off and their "relationship" moves way too fast when you consider that they literally haven't even talked for several years. By the Throat - 3 stars Again, you should've probably read the beginning of the story of this couple, which is His Relvery I think...? I can't really say anything about it since I am missing that, on its own, it's not all that great, literally only smut. Collided - 4.5 stars This one's a prequel to the LSU series. The full-length novel is out since yesterday (July 10th) and I'm going to read it pretty soon because I loved the beginning. Stepbrothers again, but in way better in my opinion. When you write an enemies to lovers, you really need to build the tension and this is done amazingly here. No big surprise if you read Savage Rivals by Becca Steele though. Like You Hate Me - 4 stars Enemies to Lovers with really good tension, I think the full-length one isn't out yet. Definitely check TWs. I'm intrigued, but Nate's character is extremely awful. I'm not sure if this is a "Nate" thing, but I disliked him almost as much as Nate from Elite Kings Club and this is honestly an achievement. Lies of Omission - 2.5 stars My rating would've been better a month ago, but now, I literally can't remember anything despite being quite confused. Never Will I Ever - 5 stars It's CE Ricci, everyone. It has to be good, especially since it's enemies to lovers. I've read Don't You Dare, so I already knew Avery, but I'm pretty sure you can enjoy it if you haven't read it yet. It's not a finished story though, and it will probably take some time until it's out because I believe the LU series is going to be first. Not Your Sweetheart - 4 stars Cute little hockey enemies to lovers romance, and it's actually wrapped up nicely (yay!). Twisted Valentine - skipped TWs for murder and other things I just don't want to read about, sorry. Forgive Me- skipped Same story. I'm not religious, but I still don't want to read about people fucking in a church, @ Lilac by BB Reid. Sweet Wicked Thing - 5 stars Really dark, but extremely well done. The characters have so much personality, I really cared for them after just a few chapters. Can't wait to read the full story. Mustang's Torment - 2.5 stars Second chance kind of situation, a fine setup (MC Club-ish), but I don't love the writing style. They literally explain everything to you. Every action, everything the characters say. Please show don't tell. This one's a finished prequel to a series I think. The Race between... -3 stars Similar situation to Heated Rivalry, but in an F1 setting. Could've been good, but I couldn't feel any connection sadly. Wet - 4.5 stars Another concluded story. Riley Nash is amazing at writing angst, and I was surprised that it's even possible to achieve good angst in a few chapters. Hateful Love - 5 stars High school enemies to lovers. I love that the characters are both kind and genuine, they just aren't really when interacting but it's really comfortable to read a story in which no one is shitty. I don't want to wait until Feb 24 for this to release completely :(
