Tropes: – sapphic – rockstar romance – age gap – queer bands A sapphic rockstar romance and age gap, it‘s safe to say this has all the ingredients to be good, and it definitely is more than just good. I like the approach of this book. At the beginning I felt a little bit reminded of ‘Stars Collide‘ by Rachel Lacey which I‘ve read recently. The plot seems quite similar. Cleo is Lana’s support act, and she wants to perform a duet with her – where the plot differs is, Cleo and Lana are both in bands. So, there is not just drama between these two stars but their band mates as well. At some point there is a little bit to much band drama for my liking, and that‘s because they interfere with Cleo’s love life (and I think that‘s none of their business). But aside from that I did like the dynamic of the two bands very much – it‘s fun how Cleo’s band is fangirling over the Lady Kings (Lana’s band). The spice is pretty great and sensitive. 4/5⭐️ 2/5🌶️
