wer den Song „love the way you lie“ von Rihanna liebt, wird dieses Buch lieben! es gibt zu 100% Rook&Sage vibes, das Lied könnte für die beiden geschrieben sein! ich hasse für gewöhnlich second chance tropes, aber das Buch hat mich eines besseren belehrt. es startet mit wunderbarer enemies to lovers tension und geht dann wieder zum enemies trope über. ich hab das Buch geliebt, es war schmerzhaft an vielen Stellen, aber so so gut! 5/5 absolute Empfehlung

Ugh... for reasons that evade me (*cough* kindle unlimited *cough*), I had to keep reading this series. This book was better than the first, though a little heavy on the religious imagery and dramatics. You have to ignore the shortcomings (of which there are plenty), pretend everyone is well into their late 20s during spicy scenes and otherwise remember that these character's pre-frontal cortex is no where near fully developed. But... I'm not gonna lie, I couldn't put it down.
