German Review on GosuReviews I got this book from my reddit book exchange partner! Sadly it wasn't as well written as Wool. The idea of a post apocalyptical world, that is covered in Sand, where "sand divers" dive to ruins of our lost cities to scrap what it's left and then sell it, reminded me too much of the movie Waterworld with Kevin Costner, but instead of water we have sand. I couldn't really care about the characters, they had no real depth to them and acted mostly too predictable. My only hope was a bit of interesting world building, but Howey doesn't really go into great detail of how this world came to be. He is very vague and only gives a few clews and let's a lot of story left open. Overall not too bad, but far from the wool books and there are currently a lot more interesting dystopian fantasy novels on the market.
