Cute concept but it lacked depth
Merry Little Lies by Addison Lloyd ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.5/5 stars) This book had such a promising concept—two high school boys from completely different worlds, both scarred by life, finding love. I really liked the contrast between Cian and Aaron, and the way the story explored themes like loss, grief, and the massive gap between rich and poor. It definitely had moments that made me feel both sad and happy. That said, the couple just didn’t fully vibe with me. While the idea of them together worked, their dynamic sometimes felt off. The misunderstandings were frustrating, and some of the characters’ reactions were just… strange. Instead of feeling natural, those conflicts pulled me out of the story. Overall, it’s a bittersweet YA romance with potential and emotional moments, but not one that completely hooked me.
