I was a little disappoint by this book, not going to lie. I think the reason why is because of the split story between Essie/Farrendel and Melantha/Rharreth. I wish was had 2 different books and no back and forth because each part deserved its own story. I liked both part, I especially liked learning about Trolls and seeing Melantha realize her mistake and learn to love herself along with Rharreth. Rharreth is a great hero and I was really happy that he and Melantha got to redeem themselves. Essie and Farrendel also got a good story arc, managing to go between human and elven kingdoms really smoothly.
