The story is pretty simple. Riley, signed up a few years ago to an intergalactic program that would pay her to be of service in the galaxy, for aliens. Her job was to take care of elderly rich aliens. And she did her job well. The issue is that, as long as you’re requested, your contract doesn’t end. So, this time, Riley has asked that family she’s been working for to rate her badly, so she wouldn’t get requested again and would be free. Amazing plan! Expect when a few minutes before the end of her contract, a human nanny is requested and she happens to be the only human available. Here we go again. Turns out, Riley has never taken care of a baby before but aliens really think human are natural caregivers and it’ll work out. Also, turns out her new boss looks exactly look the devil, red skin, horns and forked tongue included. The story was really cute and fluffy. I enjoyed it overall, I really liked the dimension of them having to wait being part of Aegir’s culture. Also, I’m a sucker of a single dad romance, so that was a huge plus for this book. Sadly, the world building was pretty minimal. When I read an alien romance, I’m looking ofr more cultural differences. And here, it kinda felt like earth2.0 with some quirks, which was a bit disappointing. There’s nothing much more than that to say. Go in with no expectations and you will enjoy yourself. I will not be picking up the following book in the series.
