Hitched: The Top Ten picks up right where book 1 left off. One of the just elected 10 remaining bachelors is dead and his death is being investigated. As there is now a vacancy in the top ten, one of the already eliminated bachelors is also brought back, which of course the remaining 9 bachelors don't like. Kimmie-Jayne goes on double dates with the remaining men. She now officially knows that the other contestants all have supernatural abilities and now she can finally satisfy her curiosity and ask the bachelors about their real lives. Again, there are some incidents during the double dates and it becomes pretty clear that it wasn't just about the big reveal, but that someone is actually out to sabotage the show so that it doesn't even air. In book 2 the relationships deepen, along with the protagonist the reader learns more about Azar's politics and the lives of the men. It becomes clear that Kimmie-Jayne's life is in danger because of the show and the bachelors are all willing to protect her as they have each grown to love her in their own way and they hold her in high regard. It slowly becomes more and more apparent that the show is very crucial to Azar on a political level and the producers, although human, must also have some sort of deal or something else going on in the background that Kimmie-Jane and the other contestants know nothing about. For me personally, this book was also a very quick and entertaining read. I would again give book 2 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5. The spice level for me remains at 0.5 to 1, the maximum that happens is a few hot kisses. I really like the lightheartedness of G. K. Derosa's writing style and the different characters. The story is unique, there's a bit more world-building and it all grows together a bit with the protagonist learning more and more about the supernatural world.
