Funny, as usual.
The Heart Hassle series is, so far, absolutely entertaining. A light read that doesn't give me brain fog or a headache, which are already pretty positive things for me in a book. I simply love overenthusiastic Emelle and her guys. 🥰

I'M OBSESSED!!! Pretty high on the list of the silly little books I loved most this year!
Couldn’t stop reading. Emelle is such a funny character and omg the guys are hot. The topic of more than just one mate is pretty interesting (even though it’s nothing for me personally I love reading this topic). The mating bond scene with the genfins made me go crazy! This was pretty intense. Will continue with the third book right about now.
Trotzdem keine 5 Sterne weil mir irgendwas fehlt. Keine Ahnung was... Außerdem springt die Geschichte manchmal. Alles in allem aber ein tolles Buch
I still like it... So, in the sequel, the genfins go through the culling, with Emelle having to be near them in order to stay anchored to the physical realm. The princess decides to help her blend in and gives her a job as a handmaiden. Not going to lie, this book enters a part of RH I dislike : adding people to the original pairing. Basically, in this book there is Emelle who finds and falls for the Genfins (3) in the first book. It's great, I love it. Except in this book, Emelle meets Okot, a Lamassu who she happens to be the mate of. So, you're telling she's the fated mate of a guy, but she's still going to be with the Genfins? And everybody is okay with it? The only was I could've liked it, is if there were 2 lamassu or more, cause the power would be distribute more evenly BUT this situation means: in times of disagrement, the lamassu will always be overruled, in times of intimacy, the lamassy will always get more alone time. It just doesn't seem realistic to me that someone from a monogamical (not a word idk) race with FATED MATES would share their mates so readily. Emelle doesn't really improve. I said in the first review that I didn't mind her but I thought she'd improve but I think she gets worse and that's not the type of character development we want. I like Okot, I just wish he had his own mate and more of a personnality. The Genfins are fine, they're strong and stuff, it's cool. I lowkey wished this was a dark romance about the redeeming of the Prince rather than this at this point. A lot of the things that happen don't really make a lot of sense, like why does she need to really clean? Why not just hide her in a chamber? Does she really need to go to the banquet? Do we need to see this scene of her getting drunk with Mossie, or at least, does it need to be this long? I'm really, I don't know. I did like the book, I'm just perplexed of a lot and yeah
