Well, I'm not entirely sure about how I feel about this. Ash's story was intense and the constant throwbacks to the past were a story I would have loved to explore as an independent story, it all fell a little short but was still woven into the present story very nicely. Rose is fierce as well and I really like her. The book rounded all the stories up quite nicely and I like how it all turned out. I'm totally curious about the Shifting Sands series and the Wildfire Shifters... You'll see me reading those some time.
