Jasmine Allen believes in bad luck, great wine, and the seductive power of a stiletto heel. What she doesn’t believe in is love. Her life is perfect without all that romance rubbish—until a plumbing disaster screws everything up and leaves Jas homeless. Luckily, she has someone to turn to: her best friend Rahul. For seven years, Rahul Khan has followed three simple rules.
* Don’t touch Jasmine if you can help it.
* Don’t look at her arse in that skirt.
* And don’t ever—ever—tell her you love her.
He should’ve added another rule: Do not, under any circumstances, let Jas move into your house. Now Rahul is living with the friend he can’t have, and it’s decimating his control. He knows their shared dinners aren’t dates, their late-night kisses are a mistake, and the tenderness in Jasmine’s gaze is only temporary. One wrong word could send his skittish best friend running.
So why is he tempted to risk it all?

Okay soo.. It was a good book to read for in between, but nothing spectacular. We have our girl Jasmine, a twenty something year old that gets a flood in her apartment, causing her to stay with her long time best friend, Rahul - who’s very much in love with her. They had good chemistry together and i imagined them both to be very good looking haha. The chapters switch between past and present, showing us their 7-year friendship. The writing style was pretty enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the smut in this and it was written well but sometimes it seemed like there was so much smut written in detail for several pages, while sweet and honest moments seemed kind of rushed through the story, if you get what I mean. Maybe I’m the only one who interpreted it this way because I just wanted to finally finish it after a while😭. Rahul is such a green flag though I swear. He loved that girl for 7. years.🥹. Could only dream of somebody like that fr. The book has diversity and good representation🤗. The epilogue shows us them happily married, with a three year old son😙

Predictable, kinda boring.

Maybe this is just not my cup of tea - but there was not much story or character development in this. The female protagonist has a fear of intimacy, the male protagonist is supposedly her best friend, but obsessively horny for her (which would be very creepy in a real friendship) and kinda in love. They are both finally attracted to each other, which is described in detail and kinda takes up what feels like 3/4 of the book. They don't get much personality or background story beyond that. The whole development part of them is being skipped over in the last part of the book. I don't get the good ratings this has.

Was erwartet ihr euch bitte?
