Keine Ahnung, ob es an mir liegt oder daran, dass ich in den letzten Tagen zu viele Bücher aus dem Rubyversum gelesen/gehört habe, aber langsam bin ich etwas genervt von „What is this?“ „Oh, my cock.“ „No, I mean THIS.“ „Ah. This is my spur.“ „Oh. What is it for?“ „I … don’t know.“ „Okay.“ Dieses Gespräch kam jetzt in den letzten sechs Storys fast identisch vor. Die Geschichte war auch ultrakurz und passiert ist nicht wirklich viel. Vielleicht brauche ich aber auch nur eine Pause von den Büchern. 🤷🏻‍♀️

After reading when she's bold, I realized that this Risdaverse series has 4 other short novels that I hadn't read yet and that I was most likely missing out on some Ruby Dixon greatness, and thank god I'm repearing my mistake now! This was a very enjoyable short novel about Emvor, a former warrior retiring on a farm planet and who connects with a Mesakkah bride, to break loneliness and get a hand on the farm. Except, Nicola, a former human pet shows up and Emvor has to deal with a human instead of a strong Mesakkah female. Once again, short, sweet, awesome. I love anything Ruby Dixon anyway
