Fun read but you can really tell that a 58-year-old woman is writing a woman in her late twenties... (her idol is Katherine Hepburn?) The plot was ridiculous and Hannah tempered with so much evidence that without the confession the case would be thrown out of court! It was fun anyway and I'm really craving all the cookies now. I will definitely try some of the recipes in the book. What made me deduct a star from my rating was the constant body shaming by Hannah herself. She is tall, somewhat curvy (but calls herself fat) and has frizzy red hair. And she will emphasize her "shortcomings" (or what she sees as those) constantly. Her mother, her sister, even her kindergartner niece are described to be otherwordly beautiful, but for her own looks Hannah doesn't have a single nice word.
