This time around, the story here feels more believable. Not to say Crank wasn't believable, it's moreso just that this book has the perfect combo of unbelievable choices with believable spinning totally out of control. The square between Angela/Brad/Kristina/Trey, Robyn becoming Aphrodite, Kristina's mom stomping both feet down once and for all. It felt kind of yucky to read through knowing a lot of this was inspired by someone's real life but still well-formed prose that helped smooth out the story.
