This story captivated me from start to finsih - I finished the book in only two days. Best Friends to Lovers to Enemies to Lovers. They were in love since forth grad but life and fear driven decisions tore them apart. But deep down, they never stopped loving each other. It shows so well how important communication is and that getting help (therapy) is not a weakness but only makes you stronger. HUGE recommendation.

So guys, this one makes me cry. In one way, it was more painful than finding Delaware, and In another, you can sense the love between them, even in the moments where they almost hate each other, and that always sends a bold of lightning trough all the darkness. I might say, that you can’t compare these both books, the first one’s stepbrother/enemies to lovers, this one’s best-friends-since-childhood to lovers. But the hurt and the love and most of all the found family parts, are what still makes it feel like coming back home. Xed and Matty have to go through a lot of sh*t to even get back together, after Val, the mother of Mattys daughter, forced him to go away from Xed and all his friends. They hurt each other so damn much, at one time, i didnt even think it was possible for them to ever get a closure.
