I absolutly loved it! 5 pages in I already started crying, it was like all my thoughts were written down. I started and I couldn’t stop reading, so I finished it in one sitting. I am fr absolutely speachless, I adore this book so much. I really recommend reading it, but have your tissues ready!

„Save me an orange“ ist kein gewöhnliches Buch – es ist ein Gefühl. Die Texte sind ehrlich, einfühlsam und voller Tiefe. Vieles hat genau das ausgedrückt, was ich selbst fühle, aber oft nicht in Worte fassen kann. Es war, als würde jemand meine Gedanken aufschreiben. Dieses Buch hat mir Trost gespendet und mich gleichzeitig inspiriert. Ich bin sehr dankbar, es gelesen zu haben. "Save Me an Orange" is not an ordinary book – it is a feeling. The texts are honest, sensitive, and full of depth. Many things expressed exactly what I feel, but often cannot put into words. It was as if someone was writing down my thoughts. This book gave me comfort and inspiration at the same time. I am very grateful to have read it.

I bought this book based on the blurb on the back because at the time, it intrigued me. But what I got when I read the whole thing was repeated symbolism that I wish had some variety. The same can be said for the style/aesthetic of the writing. Why is everything in all-lowercase? Can someone please explain this phenomenon to me? I still don't get it. I liked a few poems here and there but the collection as a whole fell flat overall.

Ich glaube, mein 16 jähriges ich hätte geweint. Vielleicht hab ich das auch. Dieses poetry Buch wie viele andere hatte unfassbar schöne und schmerzhafte Poems. Wirklich ein schönes Buch und eine Empfehlung für jeden der dachte dir Welt endet mit 16, oder nach der ersten Liebe oder wenn man nie geliebt wurde.

Love yourself always. Put yourself first. Family, and if not by blood, then by choice. And you have one. Always. Hab das Buch wirklich an einem Nachmittag gelesen. Es ist süß aufgemacht und hat mich zum nachdenken angeregt. Selbstliebe. Die Qualität bei dem Buch ist etwas Grenzwertig, grade wenn man mit Textmarker sich die ein oder andere Stelle markieren will. Ansonsten hübsch. 🙂🎊
