Mir gefiel das Buch sehr! Für eine dark romcom sehr easy & gemütlich zum Lesen! Auch spannend bis am Schluss mit ein paar Plot-Twists! 👍 Es wurde mit lights out von Navessa Allen und butcher & blackbird von Brynne Weaver verglichen, welche ich beide total liiiebe! 😍 Meiner Meinung nach ist es weniger lustig als lights out und weniger dark als butcher & blackbird. Auch weniger spice als bei den anderen beiden, für mich aber völlig okey so! 😊 Ich freue mich bereits sehr auf den 2. Band mit Evie & Aiden! Die hatten ja in diesem Buch bereits eine mega Spannung 🤩 und ich liiiebe Evie 💗

I enjoyed the setting and most of the banter and back & forth between the main characters Regan & Rook, which I can’t deny, was funny at times. The main characters were flat, especially Regan. While I overall enjoyed reading from her perspective, her character was difficult to like. She was naive, partially because she grew up mostly sheltered from everyone and everything, but also just generally naive, making me almost roll my eyes. The relationship between Regan & Rook started off fun. I would even go that far to describe the first time they met as a meet-cute in their own way. Their relationship and the development of it was a bit chaotic. It was cute at times and other times it made me kind of question the whole dynamic they had going on, even though there wasn’t anything particularly wrong. It seemed like Regan couldn’t decide for herself if she wanted Rook, while her actions were very clear. The dialogues were repetitive, the monologues at times as well. When I look at the dialogues, while other people were just *saying* things, Regan more often than not was *yelling*. For some reason this really stood out to me.. I did however like almost all of the side characters! Evie was a gem and I would love for her to have her own book! “Rook & Rebel” reminded me in a lot of ways of Katee Robert’s “Neon Gods”, which I didn’t enjoy as much as this one. If you liked “Neon Gods” and want maybe a different setting, something quick and a bit more fun, this book might be it. Overall, I did enjoy the book. Rook & Rebel was a fast-paced, addictive read full of tension, romance, and grit. Despite some darker moments, it had a fun, sweet edge that kept me hooked. I really enjoyed both main characters. Rook was a standout—protective, rough, and surprisingly tender at times, even if his actual job remained a bit of a mystery. Regan had potential as a heroine, though she often stayed stuck in her thoughts rather than taking action. It wasn’t until the very end that she truly stepped into her strength, and I would’ve loved to see more of that growth earlier on. Additionally, her backstory felt underexplored—especially in terms of her relationship with her father and whether his controlling behavior had always been present. The subplot with her father, especially near the end, felt disconnected and unnecessary. The story would’ve been stronger without it—Rook and Regan’s “good girl meets bad boy” dynamic was compelling enough on its own. Evie, Harper, and the boys added a heartfelt layer of found family, making the story more grounded and emotionally rich. Overall, it’s an intense and gripping romance that delivers on character chemistry and emotional depth.

Ich habe das Buch geliebt !! Ich fand das Buch ist meiner einer Menge Humor geschrieben und ich fand das so toll zu lesen. Musste oft lachen und schmunzeln. Es geht um Biker Boys …. Muss ich da noch mehr sagen ?! 😍 einfach Mega tolles Buch. In dem Buch geht es um Rook und Regan, er ist auf der dunklen Seite der Welt unterwegs und sie ist immer brav und tut was ihr Vater ihr sagt … bis das Schicksal Rook & Regan auf eine ungewöhnliche Art und Weise zu einander führt. Die beiden Welten der beiden kollidieren und lüften einige Geheimnisse. Ich kann das Buch nur empfehlen!

Biker und reiches Mädchen, Touch Him or Her and you will die, Found Family, Stalking Was passiert, wenn du und dein Freund plötzlich von einem Motorrad verfolgt werdet und dann eine Waffe auf euch gerichtet wird? Hoffentlich passiert dir nicht das selbe wie Regan, denn sie wird plötzlich alleine dort gelassen, während ihr Freund wegrennt. Der Fahrer ist genau so geschockt davon und fährt sie nachhause, während er ihr erklärt, dass ihr Freund ihm Geld schuldet. Doch damit wird das Interesse in beiden irgendwie geweckt und sie können sich gegenseitig nicht vergessen. Doch er kennt nicht einmal ihren Namen und als er den erfährt, ist er nicht glücklich darüber. Doch warum genau das so ist, musst du selber lesen. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Fazit: Was ein geiles Buch. Ich habe es wirklich ab der ersten Sekunde so sehr geliebt. Rook ist einfach so 🤤. Wie er einfach ihre wahre Seite aus ihr raus kitzelt und direkt weiß, was in ihr steckt. Dieses Knistern zwischen den beiden hat mich direkt so in den Bann gezogen. Während ich mir bei dem Stalking von ihm nichts gedacht habe, habe ich bei ihr immer gehofft, dass das nicht schief geht oder sie in irgendwas reinplatzt. Das ihr Vater irgendwas vor ihr verbirgt, habe ich mir auch irgendwie von Anfang an gedacht. Alleine wie er ihr gegenüber war, ging gar nicht. Deswegen hat mich das Ende mit ihm und Elliot auch nicht ganz so zufrieden gestellt. Hätte mich ehrlich gesagt glaube mehr drüber gefreut, wenn Regan das selber in die Hand genommen hätte. Und hätte echt gerne erfahren, ob sich Rook das Tattoo stechen lassen hat. 🤓
