It’s honestly been quite a while since I last picked up a book that wasn’t some kind of queer love story, so this collection ended up being a really fun change of pace 🤭 I love horror as a genre, but I actually haven’t read that much horror fiction yet because I’m such a visual person and sometimes struggle to fully picture things while reading. But somehow, these stories worked incredibly well for me! The collection has a really great mix of different kinds of horror — from absurd and unsettling to genuinely brutal and psychological. Some stories definitely worked better for me than others, but overall I had SO much fun with this book 🙂↕️✨ "Rest Stop" was probably one of my favorites, mostly because the length gave the story more time to build tension and atmosphere, which worked incredibly well 🙏🏻. But I also really loved the final story in the collection because it was... kinda special Idk 💀😂 If you enjoy dark, weird, unsettling horror short stories with lots of variety, I’d definitely recommend checking this one out 👀🖤
