Ich war erst etwas abgeschreckt, weil Reinkarnation eigentlich so gar nicht mein Thema ist. Aber nachdem ich „Torn“ von Carian Cole so geliebt habe, wollte ich „The Lovely Return“ trotzdem eine Chance geben und bin sehr froh, dass ich es getan habe. Carian Coles Schreibstil ist einfach unglaublich schön und voller Emotionen, ich war von der ersten Seite an drin. Das Reinkarnations-Thema war überhaupt nicht creepy, sondern einfach magisch und berührend. Ich habe das Buch in weniger als 24 Stunden verschlungen und konnte es kaum aus der Hand legen. Wer nach einer wunderschönen Age-Gap-Slow-Burn-Romance sucht, mit etwas Spice und ein bisschen Magie, der sollte sich dieses Buch nicht entgehen lassen. ❤️

I waited for this book and I absolutely love the idea of reincarnation. I loved previous books of this author so much, and I was excepting this book to be as good as Torn / Tied / Vandal. Unfortunately, it wasn't. For me personally. The writing feels forced, I don't feel emotions and characters. It is always told, but never shown. I think this book is just not for me and I'm truly happy for people who really love and enjoy it.
