Freue mich aufs Finale in Band 6 😊

2.5 By now I am just reading this to get closure. I came up to book 5 and it is only one book left. I really liked the way the series started but it took a turn for the worst in my opinion. We have characters like Sage who was really important in the first 2 books but is absolutely insignificant now. We have plenty of red flags and for me the main bonds emotional relationships are just unbelievable. They never really talk about their worries, feelings etc. it’s just about tactics or the old „I can’t talk about it“ thing to elongate the plot and make it annoying af. I like the idea of different gifted but by now teleporter just seem like a way to cover up lazy writing. Also, I am not opposed to letting a character die if it is impactful. But Nox dying at the end of book 4 just to bring him back barely 50 pages into book 5 takes away from the significance. Could have come up with a different strategy. Moreover Oli is just an overpowered Mary Sue. She never really struggles, knows everything, takes up every new skill immediately and it just becomes uninteresting to read. I am always rooting for a happy ending but other books manage to keep me on the edge of my seat nonetheless, building up tension. This series basically established Oli as an indestructible force I don‘t have to worry about and by now I don’t really care about her. And that is really sad.

I guess you can say this book was what I‘ve been waiting for since I’ve started this series. Although it‘s not so very different from the other books of the Bonds that tie it definitely has some answers (finally!) and a lot of Nox–time. The ending is actually pretty tame but left me with a lot of questions. Still, I can‘t wait starting the final book🙌 5/5⭐️
