He is so self convinced that he doesn’t even longer notice that he is so arrogant when he is answering questions. Dash is getting the same question over and over again from the lady’s that he even know from the look what they’re about to ask him. When he answers to all girls the same:,, I‘ll never marry anyone, and I’ll never have kids, because I’m physically incapable of ever loving anyone more than I love myself.“ Carrie is watching him every week from her favourite seat in the blackest of the shadow while he is playing piano every week and he is never looking up. Dash confirms to her that he takes heroin (although he doesn't) and then Carrie distances herself from him and gets bad flahbacks and he wonders why she doesn't bother him anymore. Carrie had a bad past that no one knows about before she moved to the Wolf hall. Dash can’t stop thinking about her, can’t stop being mad hat her, can’t stop thinking about how cute she is when she’s mad. Carrie deserves someone who‘ll put their arm around her in public and be proud of the fact that she‘ll even let them. She deserves everyone to know that she’s loved and protected, and Dash is the one to give that to her. Attention Jumpscare Dash gets a visit from her legal guardian and he tells Dash that he should do what boys can do best -> break hearts (read the book to find out what he is gonna do) I was reading the book and nothing expecting anymore and then BAM Wren tells Carrie that Dash is gonna return to his Home to England. I mean why. But as is was reading it was making sense. After all this book was soooo good normally the first book in a series is the Better one but not here I think Riot Rules was a bit better than Riot house and I am actually expecting much from Riot act because of how good the first to books were.

So. This is going to be a tough one. I'm SO mad at the author. She has done an incredible job on her first book in this series (riot house) but this? This was just disappointing. First, I loved the characters. They had so so so much to offer and I loved their chemistry together it was just perfect! The author is really good at describing what love feels like, however she lacks the ability to describe the feeling of sadness or longing and that to a point where it's absolutely ridiculous and not in any remotely way relatable! I understand that sex has a really important role in this book (more than it has in the first so there's a lot more smut scenes) BUT bringing it up every chance you get? Daaaang. Thinking about how the mc misses his dick every time she talks about missing him is just fucked up and annoying. They shared more than that. They shared love. And life. Nonetheless the filthy sex they had is the only thing she's longing about. At some point in the book he was commanded to stay away from carrie and break her heart and all he did was just accept it? He didn't even flinch. He didn't hesitate and he didn't resist. That's SO not his character like. The Dash we followed for 300 or sum pages would fight for her. Don't get me wrong. I think him breaking her heart was a really good plot twist and made "sense" considering the story line. BUT it's the way he was so nonchalant about it that didn't sit right with me. If there were moments where the author wrote about how painful it was for Dash to see Carrie suffer, she explained it so poorly, that you couldn't empathize with the characters at all. But how could you? The writer herself couldn't even empathize with her characters! In my opinion, the author screwed up the characters and did them so dirty.

11 Monate nach dem ersten Teil habe ich endlich Band 2 gelesen. Und was soll ich sagen: Warum habe ich solange damit gewartet?! Carina Mendoza hat so einige Geheimnisse. Sie ist seit Jahren unsterblich in einen der drei Riot House Jungs verliebt. Und sie ist eine Mörderin. Und ihr Name ist gar nicht Carina. Seit Jahren lebt Carina unter einer falschen Identität, die sie durch ihren geheimnisvollen Retter in der Not Alderman annehmen konnte. Carinas Lebensrealität hat nichts mit der Realität zu tun, die ihre Mitschüler von ihr kennen. Statt eine Familie und einen kleinen Bruder zu haben lebt sie seit Jahren mit der Angst aufzufliegen. Um dies zu verhindern wurden ihr Regeln auferlegt, die sie zu befolgen hat. Doch als sich Carina immer öfter in der Nähe von Lord Dashiell Lovett IV befindet fällt es ihr immer schwerer Regel Nummer 3 zu befolgen: Kein Kontakt zu Jungs. Nachdem ich Teil 1 der Crooked Sinner Trilogie extrem gut fand, hatte ich mich darauf eingestellt, dass die restlichen Teile im Vergleich schlechter sein werden. Im ersten Band konnte ich Carina überhaupt nicht leiden und Dash war genauso unausstehlich. Carina kam mir die ganze Zeit extrem ambivalent rüber. Ich war mir durchgehend unsicher, ob sie nun im Interesse von Elodie handelt oder nicht. Deswegen wollte ich Band zwei wirklich nicht lesen. Als ich mich jetzt aber doch durchgerungen habe mit dem Band anzufangen, konnte ich nicht mehr aufhören zu lesen. Ich habe überhaupt nicht damit gerechnet, dass die Geschichte ca. ein Jahr vor Elodies Erscheinen an der Akademie beginnen wird. Wir lernen Carina und Pres viel mehr kennen und lernen dann auch Mara kennen, die im ersten Band diese geheimnisvolle Person war. Zuerst habe ich erwartet, dass der Teil vor Elodies erstem Tag an der Schule sehr kurz gehalten werden wird, aber nein. Der Großteil er Geschichte spielt vor dem ersten Band und hat wirklich so viele Lücken aus dem erste Band geschlossen. So viele Situationen, die im ersten Band ein wenig unschlüssig waren haben auf einmal Sinn ergeben. Callie Hart hat damit so ein riesiges Talent unter Beweis gestellt. Ich habe im ersten Band nicht verstanden, warum Carina nicht mit dem Tagebuch zur Polizei gegangen ist, was jetzt natürlich sehr viel Sinn ergeben hat. Des Weiteren fand ich Carinas Ansprache an Elodie im Café einfach lächerlich. Sie erklärt Elodie, dass sie sich von Wren verhalten soll, nur weil ihr One-Night-Stand mit Dash nicht so ganz toll war? Aber jetzt macht das alles so viel mehr Sinn. Mir hat auch dieses foreshadowing der Handlung von Teil 1 extrem gut gefallen. Dadurch, dass man bereits über Fitz Bescheid weiß, kann man die Situationen ganz anders bewerten, als Fitz Mara im Klassenraum direkt anspricht und sie fragt, ob Rache ein zurechtfertigendes Motiv sein kann. Für mich war Riot Rules nochmal stärker als Riot House. SMUT:
