Trevor Dean, der reiche Playboy und angehende Präsident, trifft auf Meghan Allen, die durch ihre Vergangenheit und Schulden in einer arrangierten Beziehung landet. Die Dynamik zwischen den beiden ist spannend: Er dominant, charmant und unwiderstehlich 😏💖, sie clever, stark und gleichzeitig verletzlich – ein tolles Zusammenspiel der Charaktere. Der Schreibstil ist leicht und modern, die Story lässt sich in einem Rutsch lesen 📖✨. Besonders gut gefallen haben mir die heißen Szenen, die romantischen Momente und das glaubwürdige Setting in New York. Meghan und Trevor wirken authentisch, man fiebert mit ihnen mit und freut sich über ihre Entwicklung 🏙️❤️. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: Die Handlung folgt stellenweise den typischen Klischees eines Millionär-Romance-Romans, wodurch manche Wendungen vorhersehbar sind 🤷‍♀️. Dennoch schafft die Autorin es, durch Humor, emotionale Tiefe und spannende Dialoge zu unterhalten. Fazit: Ein charmantes, sexy und kurzweiliges Buch für einen entspannten Leseabend, das Lust auf den zweiten Teil der Reihe macht 🌟📚💌.

Well first of all, what did I expect: a quick read, simple&foreseeable plot-lined ero-romance novel. Did it meet expectations? Yes. However, it also met EVERY sexist, misogynistic and stereotypical descriptions of and behaviour towards women. Although I do understand it’s a matter of „art“ to describe the main male as THE playboy of NYC and someone who just used women for his own pleasure, I didn’t expect it to go that low in niveau. From „red haired are always more spicy in bed“ (oh come on) to all the reduction to sexual objects, to „oh women I won’t ever understand them and I don’t want to“ and so on (they’re probably even more the soft examples…). A protagonist who thinks like THIS won’t turn around his whole view of the other gender* within those few pages. Well, was it a quick and easy read after a heavy but AMAZING book series (talking of Throne of Glass) Yes. But with way too many eye-rolling moments. Won’t read the other ones - couldn’t stand more of the misogynistic views.
