I am kind of surprised that I enjoyed it that much since the other one I read from this series was fine but not this special. This one though... the characters? The relationship? The hockey elements? And the communication? Like... I've never read a book with characters who actually talk to eachother. No unnecessary breakup, nothing? just yesss. My 5 star reads are normally 5 stars because they gave me emotional damage but this one was just cute and comfortable and uplifting. Exited for the ones from the series I haven't read yet.
Ich will nicht das es das vorletzte Buch war🥲
Wholesome, reasonable and so much love.
This was a reread- because only a month ago, I fell in love with the Sadenverse and read the CU books in German. But after finishing the Sadenverse, I couldn't help myself and wanted to get back into this world so badly, that I thought, I could do that with the excuse of having to read the books in English for the whole experience. And it was so worth it! A lot of humour gets lost in translation, because Eden and Saxon love linguistic jokes - and tbh, spicy scenes definitely are more pleasant in English in general. Storywise, my review doesn't differ from my German one - I love this story between Kole and Asher especially because it all is so reasonable. The reader immediately empathizes with Asher's background story and not out of pity, simply because it is narrated wonderfully. The dynamic between these two is great and Asher's siblings are gorgeous. I might have cried for joy as I've read on Instagram last week, that Emmett & Bennet get their own story as part of FU 2. After reading all of the Sadenverse books, this one (and West's story in CU5, but they belong together) ranks top tier with Pop Star (Famous #1), Iris (Mike Bravo Ops #1) and Up In Flames (Standalone, referring to Puckboys).
Yeah, okay, everyone was right, this is a spectacular entry into the SadenVerse, damn :D And I cannot begin to tell you how happy I was about the way the 'oops, I caught feelings' was handled! Even if the text itself said this was not an "I can fix him"-story, it totally way, but there's no way I can be mad about it, there was just too much prickly/positive pair dynamics (their character dynamic was indeed different from the other books in the series), chaotic family vibes and STELLAR steam CNs: grief, loss of both parents, panic attacks, pushing everyone away as a defence mechanism
🫠🫠🫠
Also vom Character development her bis jetzt definitiv das beste Buch. Asher hat an Character das, was mir bei anderen Charaktern gefehlt hat ... and i love the drama xD
