So I really enjoyed the first Book in the Series but this is a whole new Level. This was actually a Book I couldnt lay down bc it was so gripping. Rook and Sage‘s past are not for the weak the Trauma they had to go threw is just heart shattering. Seeing there Relationship in the Present and Past and how it goes through everything was an Emotional Rollercoaster. I think this Book will actually make you fall in love even harder with this Series and the Characters. Sage and Rook are one of my all time fav‘s couple. The Lillith to my Lucifer. The fire God. This Book will always have a special Heart in my Place. The Book switches between the Past and Present and the Relationship between them is messy, painful and obsessive. 6/5⭐️ I KNOW THAT THIS BOOK IS UNDER MY TOP 10 FOR THE YEAR 2026 ALREADY.

After finishing the first book in this series, I was soo exited to dive into this sequel. And let me tell you, I love this book!!! The way the story wasn’t rushed but keeps you hooked…just chef’s kiss.👩🏻‍🍳 I just fell in love with the characters (Rook and Sageee!!), and I couldn’t get enough of them. They complement each other in ways that had me rooting for them with my whole heart.😭 Now I just can’t wait to read the third book!!🤭

The more secrets I have on everyone else, the less likely they are to find out mine. And mine are going to stay buried.’’ ROMANCE I absolutely enjoyed the romance aspect in this book. There was all the angst and tension and my nervousness on what’s gonna happen, but then we got these soft and tender moments where I immediately swooned. Some things had me question myself on why I loved it so much (the branding iykyk). WRITING/PACING I actually loved the writing in this. I feel like the author has outdone herself with this book, because while I liked the first one, I am now very much obsessed with this one. The chapters had the perfect length and I had no problems with the pacing either. CHARACTERS ↠ Sage. I wanna give Sage all my love because what she went through is both heartbreaking and beyond terrible. I could relate to her on so many levels and she has such a hold on my heart. <b<↠ Rook.</b<I kind of expected him to be all goofy (like in the first book), but seeing him be all serious and quite the opposite was such a good turn. The way he blamed himself for everything and let people hurt him because he wanted to be in pain…it was so sad. ↠This couple is absolutely to die for and is now one of my all time favorites. I wish I could read about them and their story for the first time again. CONCLUSION Nothing could have prepared me for this phenomenal book. Definitely already one of my favorite reads of this year and I’m looking forward to reading about their children’s books!
