⤷‧₊˚ 4.4 ⭑ “i was scared of being lost and lonely without her. that i was going to miss her so much it hurt. that somehow i’d fallen in love with her, when that had been the one fucking thing i was so sure wouldn’t happen.” the best single dad romance i have read. the chemistry between them is fantastically written, the writing style was so beautiful and easy to read that i finished it so quickly. this was actually the book that made me fall in love with the single parent trope. dex little kid’s are the most cuttest one, they were so adorable and funny.
sometimes I wonder if my ratings are too high and I give four and five stars too easily. But then I remember it’s just my impeccable taste and intuition that causes me to almost exclusively pick up amazing books. My gut feeling just knows somehow. And my gut was right again. [and also the tons of good reviews and recommendation by several bookstagrammers, that I trust in. To give credit where it’s due. ] That was adorable and cute and entertaining and also spicy. And I am a bit bummed that I can’t give it fast be stars. I wanted to. It looked like a perfect book where I can’t criticize anything. But the end made me reconsider my rating plans for this book. It was just… somehow fast but also not but still, in the end, felt rushed and not really executed that great. Some moments and actions of the mcs especially by Dex felt out of character. But otherwise great book. And I will probably now decent into the wild world of Melanie Harlow books cause she intrigued me now. I feel like her books are the perfect feel good romances where you can just be happy. Sometimes sad. But overall amazingly entertaining, funny and sweet. And on that note - if anyone has a reading order or a plan how to read them. Please let me know, I am extremely clueless atm where I should continue now since I started pretty random. 4.25
