This book gets compared to the Hunger Games and (let‘s be real), nothing can TRULY ever be like the Hunger Games, but damn this book might be the closest thing we got in years. I cried, I screamed, I loathed to my fullest extent. I felt broken just like the characters, outraged at the violence, cruelty and unfairness of a world designed to oppress people - especially women. But I also felt that beautiful small string of brilliant thread of hope weaved into every page. A hope born from resilience, patience and power. I will cherish the bruises on my heart gifted by this impactful story forever and urge you to read it!
