This book was great as expected. I really really want to see how this continues. I need more it's not even funny (・_・)
I've never read anything like this series before.
These characters have me in a chokehold. They're so unbelievably well written that my eyes involuntarily welled up with tears any time Jean showed the slightest bit of vulnerability towards the Trojans. Every hint of progress in his healing journey left me giddy and everything thrown at this poor guy made me want to see him not only "endure" but finally overcome it even more. Nora Sakavic's writing really makes you feel like you know these people. This book is so character-driven, that descriptions of torture don't nearly face me as much anymore as silent, thoughtful car rides. Despite the gruesome topics this book deals with, it had me giggling and kicking my feet on more than one occasion. Somehow, it manages to find just the right balance and the lighthearted moments were incredibly fun to read. I cannot wait for more.

So good!

😭 𝕃𝕖𝕤𝕖𝕖𝕞𝕡𝕗𝕖𝕙𝕝𝕦𝕟𝕘? It was amazing and heartbreaking to learn more about Jean, Jeremy and the other Trojans. ❤️ I wanted to cuddle and throttle them (but with a lot of love) at the same time. 🤭 I can't wait for part three and I'm excited to learn more about these wonderful characters!
May all Ravens rot in hell
Well, as always with Nora’s books, where do I even begin? I still cannot fathom how loving and sweethearted Jean is despite all the terrors he had to go through. He seriously deserves to finally live a happy and normal life. I can only rest when he gets his happy end!!! In this book we finally get more of Jeremy‘s background story and I can say from the depths of my soul: the entirety of Jeremy‘s family can rot in hell with the Ravens and all their fanatics for the rest of eternity!!! I don’t think I‘ve ever hated a fictional character more than I hate all of these assholes!!! My heart aches for our golden quartet and how many setbacks they had to suffer through. The yearning between Jeremy and Jean was sometimes the only thing that got me through those rough moments, and I seriously cannot wait to see who will yield first! I need the next book ASAP Nora!!!! Please listen to the pleas from the common folk… we need to know!
Love the characters but messy plot
I don't know what kind of magic was at work here, but I devoured this book within two days. I can't even put a finger on what fascinated me this much because there isn't that much plot. But reading about Jean and his journey, getting to know Jeremy better … you get the feeling that the author really loves her characters and can't help but to fall in love as well. On another note: slow burns like this should be illegal.
Fireworks
The second volume about Jean and Jeremy. Of course, I loved it! These are just my comfort books (despite the trauma lol). Jean still has to find his way in the new team and all, but he is slowly getting better. Still, a lot of trauma, but while trying to unlearn his Raven conditioning, his perspective is changing (you didn't deserve this, baby 😭😭❤️). I also love how he is understanding the Trojans playstyle more and more. At the same time, we learn more about Jeremy's family, and oh boy, I want to punch them all! Just a bunch of controlling, homophobic, racists 💀 There wasn't actually that much happening in the beginning, just more daily stuff that could have been cut shorter, but it was still easy to read. But I read the second half much faster cause there were bigger things happening. I loved Kevin and Andrew showing up, and Jean being rude is just THE BEST 😂 My favorite insults were the ones he used to describe Neil with (an ill-bred child, a malfunctioning cretin & a rancid menace). Like, let that poor boy live. He is trying his best 😂 I was also crying a lot again, obviously. Like, everything that happened after the first game had me in tears 🥹 Also, I NEED that one Fox game from their perspective! (I bet there are going to be fanfics 👀) Like, I love Jean & Jeremy, but I will never be done with the Foxes and when the trilogy ended, I still wanted to see so much more, and I love it when they show up, but it's never enough 😩❤️ The volume ended on a rather chill note, but I expect the slowburn to start burning in the next one, so I can't wait 🤭 But, of course, this is not what this series is mainly about, and I just love their little family so much 🥰
