Soooo, I’ve read the first book a year ago, which I loved. I don’t think there was ever a book (except one so far) that I didn’t like written by Lucy Score. I really enjoyed reading Mistakes Were Made. It was a great rom com small town romance. I actually liked that it was a “longer” book so I expected more depth than a 300 page book might have. I liked the dynamic between the townies but also between the bishop family members. I loved their banter, jokes, humor but I also loved how they’ve always shown up for each other, care for each other and the unconditional love. Yes… the last part of the book could’ve been avoided but I guess I didn’t mind it. If you wanna read a cute small town rom-com then go for it. I am looking forward to the next one!

Das Buch hatte gute Romcom-Vibes, aber insgesamt hat es mich leider nicht so richtig abgeholt. Mein größtes Problem war die Beziehung an sich. Es ging ständig nur darum, dass sie ja eigentlich nicht zusammenpassen, weil sie so verschieden sind. Das hat sich irgendwann nur noch im Kreis gedreht und die Story nicht wirklich weitergebracht. Ab der Hälfte hat sich die Geschichte dann echt gezogen und das Buch war gefühlt insgesamt einfach viel zu lang. Der Third-Act Breakup am Ende war für mich auch total unnötig und hat einen der Charaktere sogar eher unsympathisch wirken lassen.
