In a mix of autobiography and chronology Grant Morrison tells about his way from a comic book reader to a well-known writer as well as the different ages of superhero comic books. That includes much information about editorial shifts, politics and trends. Tbh I really started enjoying the book when he reached the 1980s - the era of "The Dark Knight Returns" and "Watchmen". And I wish that there would be more details about his experiences as a writer of JLA and New X-Men. Instead I got to learn about the author's drug days, his visions and his losses. An interesting read overall.
