Look outside. Look at the city burning. The only thing I am frightened of is being without those I love. This novella takes place in London in 1940. Together with Catarina Loss, Tessa works as a nurse during the Second World War. One night, Jem gets hurt and goes to Catarina and Tessa for help. I really liked the setting and I think Cassie set the atmosphere it quite well. There wasn’t a lot of plot but I enjoyed Tessa’s and Jem’s reunion. Compared to the previous novellas, this one was quite short and I would have loved it better if it had been longer.
