Sarah Beth Durst writes the cozy, I read the cozy. That is the law, ever since she conquered my heart with The Spellshop. Now we have Marin and her adventures. Accompanied by Perri, a fierce sea serpent, and Ree, a sentient shrub. Sea of Charms is everything I love about this series. It's warm, whimsical, super cozy but also touching on deeper themes. Marin is the captain running from her past, and Dax is the love interest who grows on you like a melody you can’t get out of your head. It's slow-burn romance, it's quiet, sweet and musical. Best of all though is the found family. I just...just let the warmth sink in. This book can be read without knowledge of the first two books, but I would advise diving into the series in chronological order of appearance. Just so you get all the feelings you deserve. Sarah Beth Durst, you are truly the Queen of Cozy, and please please more books in this world. The audiobook for this is great, transporting all the vibes and feels that you need to heighten your experince.
