Hier haben wir Kurzgeschichten, die sich eher um mary drehen, zumindest, dass sie hier das opfer ist. Weiterhin haben wir weiterhin böse Personen, die Cain und allen leuten, die ihm etwas bedeuten, schaden wollen.
Weiter geht das Gruseln und das Mitfiebern, wenn es einen neuen Fall für Cain gibt. Der Fall, der sich des Märzhasen aus „Alice im Wunderland“ bedient, war mein klarer Favorit. Eine schöne Hommage an englische Literatur und Folklore.
That’s the first instalment of the God Child series after a six year break. I love it, when there are several short stories in one volume. They are all so intricate and I particularly love the Alice in Wonderland one. I’m from Germany, therefore I don’t know all the mother goose nursery rhymes but they remind me of German nursery rhymes which are also quite dark sometimes. I also love Doctor Disraeli, he’s so fantastically evil. I cannot wait to see what Delilah‘s whole plan is, but on the other hand I just wasn’t Cain and Merry to be happy.
