Well, this novelette was interesting. I really liked the exchanges between McKie and the caleban which would represent the middle part. Beginning and end of this detective novel were tagged on, so that we have a kind of story, I guess :-) Nevertheless, the book was quite entertaining and I would recommend it. (That it is quite short, is another plus for me. Can't stand all the multiple part series with 1000 page-books at the moment.)
