I don't know any other YA novels from Mr. Patterson or Mr. Tebbetts but I enjoyed the ride. The layout looks a lot like the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" books but the content was a bit more mature. It is like watching the old Disney movies and then watching "Lilo & Stitch" with the themes of an imperfect family and real life trouble. At least I had the feeling when I closed the book. Some people said there were too many pictures in this book... have you read the book until the end? I don't want to argue with them but the pictures had a point... I liked it and would recommend it if you have nothing better to do on an afternoon.
