I read this book back in 2022 while recovering from Covid, and it left a lasting impression on me. April in Paris is an incredibly intense and emotional story set during WWII. It beautifully captures the tragic love between a French woman and a German soldier, reminding us that behind uniforms and nationalities, there are still human beings—often forced into roles they never chose.
