Tess – oder auch Prinzessin Contessa von Costenpolis – kann sehr gut auf sich selbst aufpassen, denn der Kanzler des Reiches ist der Ansicht, dass eine gute Ausbildung besser schützt als jeder Leibwächter. Doch als ihre Eltern ermordet werden, muss Tess nicht nur für sich, sondern um das Schicksal des ganzen Königreichs kämpfen – auch als sie erfährt, dass ihr bisheriges Leben eine Lüge war … Ich liebe die Bücher dieses Autors schade das er nicht sp viele geschrieben hat 😭 Habe das Buch wieder verschlungen und die Geschichte geliebt.

This book wasn't what I expected it to be. It presented some new ideas that I hadn't read before but I would be lying if I said that I liked them. The way people get their hands on magic is repulsive and so is the "game". I don't think there is one male character in this that I actually like and I truly hope Tess doesn't end up with any of them in the sequel (which I'm not going to read). Considering what happened in the last few chapters I'm sure Duncan will end up betraying her in the sequel. The German translation of this was terrible as well. Hopefully the writing is better in the original.
