Spannender 3. Teil der Reihe , der mir gut gefallen hat. Es hat sich ein wenig gezogen aber hatte einen spannenden Showdown. Man hat lange das Gefühl, der Lösung auf der Spur zu sein. Die Story um die beiden Detectives ist in diesem Teil nicht ganz so ausgeprägt geht aber sicher noch weiter

Die „Zwillingsbrut“ von Lisa Jackson ist an sich nicht schlecht geschrieben, wobei mir aber nach relativ kurzer Zeit schon klar wurde, was hinter dem Rätsel der Ähnlichkeit stecken muss. Die Ermittlungen der beiden Polizistinnen verlaufen allerdings schleppend. Besonders die von Polizistin Pescoli, deren Privatleben für meinen Geschmack zu oft beschrieben wird. Das wird irgendwann langweilig, weil es wieder einmal eine alleinerziehende Mutter ist, die Probleme mit ihren beiden Teenagern hat und ihr Leben nicht wirklich im Griff hat. Die Geschichte wird aus verschiedenen Sichtweisen erzählt, aus Sicht der Polizistinnen, dann aus Sicht der betroffenen Ärztin Kacey Lambert und auch aus Sicht des Mörders. Es ist das dritte Buch der Montana-Reihe und für mich der bisher schwächste Teil. Der Schreibstil der Autorin ist flüssig und die Geschichte war gut zu lesen, auch wenn es keine großen Überraschungen gibt. Von mir gibt es hierfür 3,5 Sterne.

Der dritte Teil der Montana Reihe ist nicht weniger spannend als die ersten beiden. Die Geschichte ist interessant und die Protagonisten gut beschrieben. Lisa Jackson hat den Dreh raus die Story nicht zum Ende hin in Details zu ersticken sondern die Spannung bis zum Schluss, zum letzten Absatz aufrecht zu erhalten!

In this third book of the Montana-To Die series another serial killer is roaming the streets of small town Grizzly Falls, home of detectives Selena Alvarez and Regan Pescoli. This time we read about the killings of several women who could've been sisters not only to each other but also to Dr. Kacey Lambert, who works at one of the hospitals of Grizzly Falls. While the first deaths seem to be accidents and suicides, the growing count of look a like dead women raise suspicions, so Alvarez and Pescoli start to investigate - as well as Dr. Lambert herself with help of Trace O'Halleran, a rancher and father of young Eli, who is one of Dr. Lambert's patients at the hospital. This third installment of the series is yet another gripping thriller, though the story is quite far-fetched and seemed rather surreal at times. The role of the main character seems to shift from investigators Alvarez and Pescoli to Dr. Acacia "Kacey" Lambert, who is a well drawn and likeable character. Besides the main story of another psycho haunting Grizzly Falls, we also get to know a little more about the detectives lives. This book didn't get to me as the others did, because of the fairly implausible plot and the recurring problems of Alvarez and Pescoli, who seem to have not much of personal developement this time. Still Zwillingsbrut (or Born to die) was nice and quick to read and got me curious 'bout the next one.
