Die Gesichte über Magnus. Nun ja, ehrlich gesagt hab ich mir etwas GANZ anderes vorgestellt. Bin irgendwie gar nicht in diesen "lese- Rhythmus" rein gekommen.... Man kann's lesen wenn man sich für Magnus bane interessiert und für die ganzen Geschichten hinter und um die schattenjäger. Jedoch wer die anderen schattenjäger Bücher nicht gelesen hat für dem ist die Reihe definitiv nichts. :-(

This is only the first part of the Bane Chronicles so I'm not actually surprised, but this part isn't really deep. Every time it got interesting a passage abruptly ended and the setting changed to a different year. Magnus therefore seems different in comparisons to other books, he ususally is a very complex character but this complexity doesn't show much due to missing depth, all we see is him being moody/mean for no obvious reason. I would have rated this with only 1/5 stars if it hadn't been for all the quotes I recognized from the Shadowhunters TV series; I liked that there's a connection between the two, otherwise this story might have been redundant to me.

I'm disappointed. One of the most important rules when creating a title is "not to lie". But in this case the author lied. The story did not tell me what really happened in Peru. To me it seemed, as Clare was not creative enough to come up with a reason why Magnus was banned from Peru and therefore she wrote that he don't know it himself. Well if you're not creative enough to come up with a reason, don't write a story about it.

Tenía miedo con el libro, tenía cierta reserva sobre que tan fieles serían con la historia de Perú, sobre si se tomarían muchas libertados y demás. Lo bueno es que mis miedos fueron infundados, hay mucha investigación tras el libro. No soy historiadora ni nada de eso, pero algo sé. Magnus es encantador a más no poder, es un personaje que me gusta mucho y con el que siento una gran conexión. "What Really Happened in Peru" es muy divertido, Magnus ve a Perú como su lugar de diversión, algo con lo que no sé como sentirne exactamente. ¿Esa extraña sensación cuando mencionan algo que quieres mucho? Sí, eso me pasa. En conjunto la historia me gustó mucho, con lo único que tengo problema es... un maldito spoiler, así que no se los puedo decir que les arruino el libro. Mi Parabatai y yo estamos de acuerdo en eso, el relato es muy bueno, tanto que nos hizo dudar de todas nuestras clases de historia.
